CfP: AACA Topical Collection to honor Professor W.A. Rodrigues Jr.’s memory

Submission Deadline: 31 July 2018

It is with regrets and sadness that we received on April 3 the news about the passing away of Professor Waldyr Alves Rodrigues Jr. at age 71. He was Professor of Mathematical Physics in the University of  Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. Among his many activities, he served on the Editorial Board of the journal “Advances in Applied Clifford Algebras” (AACA) and he was Editor-in-Chief of AACA from 2011 to 2015.

In order to honor Professor Rodrigues’ memory, AACA will publish a topical collection (TC), and I will be the editor of it. The difference between a TC and a Special Issue is that once the manuscript is accepted one has no more waiting for the very last article to be accepted in order to see the article published, since all articles in a TC appear continuously with regularly accepted papers in regular issues of the journal and are marked as part of the topical collection accordingly. An anticipated waiting period for an accepted paper to appear via Online First is a few days while to appear in print, about three months.

The TC in honor of Professor Rodrigues should consist of works in the field of mathematical physics preferably related to some of his many areas of research, such as Clifford algebras and its applications, and theories of relativity and field theories.

I would like to invite you to contribute to this TC. Your contribution will greatly enrich this TC and it will be an honor to have your work published as part of it. The submission of a work to this TC must follows the same procedures of a usual submission (through the Editorial Manager http://aaca.edmgr.com/), with the only difference that manuscripts for this TC does not need to be exclusively related to Clifford algebras. When submitting the manuscript, please choose the option “T.C. : Homage to Prof. W.A. Rodrigues Jr”. The deadline for the submission for this TC is July 31, 2018.

If you have any question, please don’t hesitate to ask me.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Jayme Vaz (vaz_AT_ime.unicamp.br)
Associate Editor
