Alterman Conference on Geometric Algebra: Reminder for abstract submission and deadlines

Dear Colleague,

1) The Alterman Conference on Geometric Algebra and Summer School on Kähler Calculus is approaching. We remind you of the deadlines if you are registered and plan to give a talk or present a poster. Please remember the deadlines:

a) The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to May 15th. Do not leave for the last moment the submission of your abstract. If you have doubts about whether the topic of your talk fits those of the conference, please inquire us.

b) The deadline for submission of articles for the Early Proceedings is July 1st and may not be extended. If you plan to submit an article, it is now time to begin doing it. Typical size is 20 pages. Notification of acceptance of articles by the scientific committee will be given in 15 days (or sooner) than the reception of the submission.

c) The deadline for reduced fee payment is June 1st. You will find the table of fees at:

d) For the moment, there is no deadline for the request of free shared lodging. There still are vacancies. The free lodging in the Brasov university residences has the following characteristics:

Colina Universitati (10 min. walk from the venue):

Camin 16: Rooms for four persons with toilet and shower.
Camin 12: Apartments with toilet, shower and two rooms.
Camin 10: Rooms with two beds. Two sanitary groups to share on the same floor.

Memorandumlui location (20 minutes walk from five bus stops):

Camin 1-9: Rooms with 4 beds and one common sanitary group to share on the same floor.

Participants interested in getting free lodging should fill in the request form:

All those who qualified for and requested free shared lodging, and have paid the fees have already been assigned rooms. Free shared lodging is preferentially for students, but since there are few requests from them, we have extended it to professors coming from low income countries. Vacancies are only assigned after fee payment. If you wish to know whether you would get a free lodging vacancy before paying your fee, please ask us. And those participants who wish to pay their own accommodation will find information about hotels at the same webpage.

2) Visas. Citizens who need an invitation letter to obtain visa, please apply as soon as possible to the Romanian government. They will tell you what exactly the letter should say. For your own benefit please apply for the visa as soon as possible since legal steps are usually slow. For more information, please refer to:

If you fly to the Bucharest airport (code OTP, Otopeni), you can take there a bus to Brasov. Stop at the hotel Aro Palace (70 LEI or RON), which is close to the venue. For countries next to Romania, there are also trains going to Brasov or to Bucharest. If you have doubts about connections, please ask us. Do not leave the purchase of your flight ticket for the last moment, because prices usually increase when approaching the departure date.
