The next edition of the traditional series of International Colloquium on Group Theoretical Methods in Physics, which started in 1972 and nowadays takes place every two years, will be hosted for the first time in South America, in the “Cidade Maravilhosa” of Rio de Janeiro.
The Colloquium consists of plenary talks, parallel and poster sessions. During the Colloquium, in a special event, the Wigner Medal and the Weyl Prize will be awarded.

The hosting Institute of Group31 is CBPF (Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Físicas), located in Urca, Rio de Janeiro. The CBPF is in a central, very accessible, position in Zona Sul. Its surroundings, which include the famous Sugar Loaf, are very nice. Its location can be checked using google-map (CBPF, Rio de Janeiro).
The CBPF will host the parallel and poster sessions on June 21 (full day), 22 (half-day), 23 (full day).
Two full-day plenary sessions (on Monday June 20 and Friday June 24) will take place at the Fundação Casa Rui Barbosa, located within a garden with historical buildings and close to the Botafogo metro station, Rio de Janeiro (google-map “Casa Rui Barbosa RJ”). Casa Rui Barbosa is at twenty minutes walking distance from CBPF.
The Wigner Medal and Weyl Prize Award Ceremony will take place on Wednesday 22, at the brand new Rio de Janeiro’s Science Museum, Museu do Amanhã (google-map “Museu do Amanhã” ). The Museum will also host a special large audience event on Saturday morning, June 25.
A Conference fee will be charged. Reduced fees will be applied for students and for early registrations.
Early registration: deadline April 15 (Doctors or Professors US$ 250; Students US$ 100).
Late registration: deadline May 31 (Doctors and Professors US$ 350; Students US$ 150).
Fees reductions can be requested with proper justification.
13 Parallel Sessions will be organized (up to 7 Parallel Sessions can run simultaneously at CBPF).
