Description. Geographical information science (GISs) research is entering the spatio-temporal big data era, means that conventional GIS need to be transformed into the analytic GIS to support complicated model analysis. W.K. Clifford’s Geometric algebra (GA) as a multidimensional unified and coordinate independent theory tool contribute to the expression and analysis of GIS data, reduction the computing complexity and integration of GIS data models and geographic analyzing models. This conference will focuses on the GA-based multidimensional data management and analysis, computation technologies, reformulation of analysis models (e.g. ODE, PDE, etc) and software developments.
Idea. The conference aims to bring together leading scientists to discuss the frontier in both GISs and GA communities all over the world. There are also a tour in the Key Laboratory for Virtual Geographic Environment, Ministry of Education for the demonstration of current development of the GA-based multidimensional GIS. The tour includes the hardware system, software demonstrations and application demonstrations. Topics. The conference will organize 6 Keynotes (45 min; 15min discussion) and 15-25 panel sessions (20min; 5min discussion) to make sufficient communication and discussions about this new and promising directions. The topics includes but not limited:

  • Symbolic Heterogeneous Data Representation & Integration.
  • Continues spatio-temporal data representation & Analysis.
  • Flexible & Heterogeneous computational architecture for Geospatial Big data
  • GA-based GIS software & Cloud computation platform

Abstracts. I would like to ask you to send me your abstract of 400-1000 words by email (to yuzhaoyuan@njnu.edu.cn). Full paper is also welcome but not necessary. All the abstracts will be published with open access on the website of the conference. Selected paper will be recommended to the international journals.
Finance. All the keynote speaker will be fully supported by the hosts (including travelling fees and local arrangements). The local fees (including food, hotel and travelling fees in Nanjing) of all participates will be paid by the hosts. No registration fees are required.
