Extended abstract deadline (10 July 2015) for Mathematical methods for (robotics and) computer vision, 20-22 July 2015, Session at IKM 2015

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to warmly invite you to actively participate in the Session Mathematical methods for (robotics and) computer vision, at the 20th International Conference on the Applications of Computer Science and Mathematics in Architecture and Civil Engineering will be held at the Bauhaus University Weimar from 20th till 22nd July 2015, in the historic city of Weimar, Germany. Please encourage your graduate students as well to consider participation.

Topics: For the session in particular contributions related (but not restricted) to computer vision, photogrammetry, remote sensing, surveying, robotic mapping, artificial intelligence, geosciences, computational geometry, geodesy or geomatics are welcome. Contributions to applied Clifford geometric algebra, geometric algebra computing, application of hypercomplex algebras (quaternions, Geometric Algebra, Clifford Algebra, etc.) in the engineering and natural sciences, in particular in image and signal processing, in physics, etc. are also highly welcome.

Please note that there is a thematically related session on Function theoretic methods and PDE in engineering sciences at the same conference:

Abstracts: I would like to ask you to send me your abstract of 10-15 lines ASAP by email (to hitzer[at]icu.ac.jp ). The conference organizers have given me time until Friday, 10th of July 2015 to accept abstracts. I will read your abstract immediately and respond to you ASAP to let you know if we can accept it for the conference. AT THE SAME TIME please create a personal IKM conference account ( http://euklid.bauing.uni-weimar.de/conftool/register.php ) and submit your abstract there as well, that will greatly help the organizers to keep track of the session development. Because of the short time available it will not be mandatory to provide an extended abstract.

Weimar: Weimar, Cultural Capital of Europe 1999, is situated directly in the heart of Germany. The town of Weimar is a pleasant place for the IKM 2015 and offers a wide variety of cultural attractions, too. The classical places of life and work of the famous poets Goethe, Schiller, Herder, Wieland, the composer and pianist Liszt, and the philosopher Nietzsche invite you to a visit as well as the German National Theatre. You find more detailed information on Weimar under www.weimar.de.

Please consult the conference homepage for information on the conference, the location, travel, accommodation, other topics, dates, conference fee, advisory board and organizing committee, proceedings, participants, registration procedures and local contact: http://euklid.bauing.uni-weimar.de/index.htm

Hint: The IKM 2015 conference can be ideally combined with the AGACSE 2015 conference from 27-31st July in Barcelona, Spain.

If you should have any questions, then please do not hesitate to contact me.

With kind regards,
Eckhard Hitzer
