Welcome to AGACSE 2015!
The 6th Conference on Applied Geometric Algebras in Computer Science and Engineering will take place in Barcelona from 29th to 31st July 2015 at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
The AGACSE 2015 Conference has three main goals:
◾ To promote the development of the Clifford-Grassmann geometric algebra.
◾ To make progress on the inclusion of geometric algebra ideas into the mathematics, science and engineering curricula.
◾ To spread geometric algebra technologies within industry and business by showing a range of applications (robotics, image processing, computer vision, flight navigation, …).

Register to AGACSE 2015 now! Registration is free and it allows you to be informed by e-mail of all the novelties and deadlines of the Conference and previous Summer School. The AGCASE 2015 will bring together researchers and teachers from different disciplines (Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, …). The conference is also open to the institutional participation of industries and corporations (see Industrial Connections for details), and to the participation of beginners, for whom there will be a two-day Summer School (27th and 28th July) with tutorial lectures and hands-on sessions about key aspects of geometric algebra.
The Clifford-Grassmann geometric algebra is the proper algebra to handle geometric elements and their transformations. It is a coherent body of concepts and methdos that work for any dimension, which has great algebraic and algorithmic power and yet it is fundamentally simple. Since these features are lacking in the currently taught geometric methods at any level, there are strong reasons to see geometric algebra as the geometric language of choice for the XXI century and to strive for its wide acceptance in Education and Research.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
◾ Applications of Geometric Algebra (GA) to Physics.
◾ Applications of GA to Image Processing.
◾ Applications of GA to Computer Vision.
◾ Applications of GA to artificial neural networks.
◾ Clifford Analysis and Quaternionic and Clifford Fourier Transform.
◾ GA for Position Determination and Aircraft Navigation.
◾ GA applied to Electrical Engineering
◾ GA Applied to Robotics.
◾ Methods of GA in Differential Geometry.
◾ Methods of GA for classical geometries.
◾ Implementation of GA in Education.
◾ Effective Algorithms and Computations.
First Call for Papers: Participants in the AGACSE conference who wish to be considered to give a talk should submit an abstract in pdf format via EasyChair not later than May 1st, 2015. The abstract should have an extension of one page and include the title, the author/s affiliation/s and contact information. To prepare the pdf file, please use one of the following templates: LaTeX or Word. For related information, see Proceedings (http://www-ma2.upc.edu/agacse2015/proceedings.html).
Submission: Submissions of abstracts and early proceedings contributions should be done by loading the appropriate pdf file to EasyChair/AGACSE 2015. The extended papers corresponding to the papers selected after the conference for the proceedings volume are also supposed to be uploaded using the same system.
Abstracts: May 1st, 2015
Early proceedings: July 15th, 2015
Selected talks: October 1st, 2015
Poster Sessions: Poster sessions are an excellent possibility for participants to present, in an informal and interactive way, their original and unpublished work that shows current research. Poster sessions are mainly planned for students, but also for those people who wish to present their results without giving a talk. There will be a timetable for posters, and poster authors are expected to be present during the breaks, when participants in the AGACSE conference can visit poster panels. Companies can have a stand, which will consist of a poster panel and a space for the furniture they wish. In the stand, companies can organize specific activities, which should be communicated to the organizing committee in order to include them in the schedule. The only requirement is that their activities be related to the topics of the AGACSE conference.
Special sessions: Special sessions around some specific topic may be planned. Their number and structure will be determined according to the contributions received. In advance, we can suggest some possibilities:
◾Hypercomplex analysis and hypercomplex Fourier transform.
◾Projective geometry and projective geometric algebra.
◾Rotors in robotics.
Other special sessions can be proposed before the deadline May 1st, 2015. After this date the organizing committee will fix the final list of special sessions. If you have a proposal, please send an e-mail to the organizing committee.
