we are going to organize a minisymposium
Clifford structures in mathematics, physics and engineering
International Conference of Numerical Analysis and Applied Mathematics 2009
NEW: Aquila Rithymna Beach, Rethymno,
Chania, Crete, Greece, 18-22 September 2009.
The Conference will take place at (new)
Aquila Rithymna Beach, Rethymno, Crete, Greece.
On behalf of the Scientic Committee of this Conference it is a great pleasure for us to invite you to come to the island of Crete and to present some of your latest results.
Clifford structures play an increasing role in mathematics, physics and engineering. They are used in modeling in very different areas of science. Impressive examples can be found in quantum physics, gauge theories, theoretical physics in general but also in signal and image processing. Clifford analysis created during the last decades very useful tools for the treatment of partial differential equations, including elements of approximation theory and numerical simulations.
Practical applications in engineering sciences, like the efficient description of three-dimensional movements, applications in robotics and also in classical mechanics become more and more important.
The idea of the symposium is to bring together experts working in theoretical research as well as in the applied sciences who are active in one of the fields related to the application of Clifford structures (not restricted to the topics mentioned above). We want to cover both the discussion of the structures and the presentation of methods which reflect the structures. It would be a great honour for us to welcome you as participant in our symposium. You will find all basic information on the conference website:
Special information concerning our symposium, including the list of participants, their topics and the abstracts of the talks can be found on the web page
We need as soon as possible a tentative title and an abstract of about 10 lines. Please send this either to
klaus.guerlebeck_at_uni-weimar.de (Klaus Guerlebeck)
sproessig_at_math.tu-freiberg.de (Wolfgang Sproessig)
We would be very much obliged if you decide to accept our invitation. If there are any questions please do not hesitate to contact us. Looking forward to meeting you at the ICNAAM 2009.
With kind regards,
